Support Student Success at SPSCC

I am supporting SPSCC because students today are facing real-life challenges more than ever. Gani, a student-athlete from Alaska, came to SPSCC with dreams of playing volleyball and making money—not realizing how much college could change her life.

"I saw school as a way to get to play volleyball, and as long as I was passing I could play," she admits.

That changed when she discovered the supportive community at SPSCC. Foundation scholarships helped her reduce work hours and focus on academics, while coaches, teammates, and faculty encouraged her to reach higher. When unexpected expenses came up, emergency funds kept her on track.

"Having such a supportive community opened my eyes to the fact that I can have a better life and that education can make that possible," Gani says.

Now pursuing a business degree, she shares: "You invest your money without knowing the students who will receive it—and you do it anyway. Knowing that you have my back is a huge inspiration and motivator!"
