Why I support the Skoolie Foundation
I serve alongside all the Skoolie Programs. So when I come across seniors, young adults, and then children facing challenges let me tell you that hits me very hard. When I hear their age, I automatically associate them to someone I know of the same age. That's how I see them. Like a parent, a son or daughter, someone dear to me. It makes me want to do more because its not just a "Random Doe" They are people. Someone's family. Some don't have anyone that cares for them. They need us. They simply want a shower, some food, warmth and some hope. Skoolie does that for them. We need your help in order to help more. Please consider donating.
The Skoolie Foundation turns retired school buses into mobile showers, food distribution and safe shelter for neighbors across Pierce, Thurston, South King and Kitsap Counties. In 2025, the community made possible more than 12,000 Bags of Hope, 1,000 mobile showers and 500 free haircuts.
Every gift counts: $2 packs a Bag of Hope, and $25 gives someone a hot shower. Give Local runs November 9 to 20, with early giving from November 2. Please give what you can, and share this page with a friend.
