Everyone needs someone to look up to.

The interns at CTE (Creative Theatre Experience) have been that and so much more for the thousands of students who have participated in the Summer programs throughout the years.

After participating in the program themselves and expanding their theater knowledge, students entering 10th Grade or older are given the opportunity to apply to be an intern for the younger students in CTE. While understanding that they won't be able to act in the productions, interns dedicate an incredible amount of time and energy coaching and helping other students learn and thrive.

Interns also take on additional responsibilities such as, shaping daily activities for students and assisting in the planning/logistics across all three programs, Arts Festival, Spotlight and Showcase.

Every donation will go directly to compensating and supporting the amazing interns, so that every student that becomes a part of the CTE family, will always enjoy a supportive, creative and inclusive environment to grow as actors and humans.

"I wanted to become an Intern because my Interns helped me to believe in myself. I couldn't think of anything more significant than to have the same effect on someone else." - Caitlin O'Malley

"I think becoming an intern was a very important moment in my life. I think I learned a lot a grew so much as a member of that team... I can definitely look back and see how the skills I learned have shaped my life today." - Tyra Sampson

"At the end of the day it wasn't about us. It was about seeing the students taking risks the next day on stage. It was about giving them an experience that made them feel special. Those long nights were a labor of love, which makes me proud to have been an Intern." - Sean Moore

"My time as an Intern changed my life and ignited my passion for teaching, a career I hadn't considered before CTE. I gained so much confidence in myself and saw firsthand the magic of youth mentoring youth. Because of this program, I believed I could make a positive difference in the lives of other and have continued working toward that goal ever since." - Kelly Doran
