Creative Theatre Experience

For the last 45 years, Creative Theatre Experience (CTE) has been providing theater education to the youth of Olympia, WA.

However, to say CTE has been providing "theater education" is an understatement. Through Summer productions, afterschool workshops, and in-school theater camps, CTE has given local youth a safe, creative, and supportive environment where they can discover their talents, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Through acting, singing, dancing, and working together, young people learn communication, teamwork, empathy, discipline, and the value of self-expression.

Theater encourages kids to take risks, embrace their individuality, and appreciate different perspectives while forming friendships and a sense of belonging. Beyond the stage, these experiences help young people grow into confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals. Supporting CTE means investing in our children, strengthening our community, and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to find their voice and shine.

In the Summer productions; Arts Festival, Spotlight and Showcase, CTE creates opportunities for kids of all ages and skill levels to learn the ins and outs of theater and to start a pathway towards leadership in the CTE Mentorship and paid Internship programs.

Not every child will grow up to be an actor, but every child can benefit from the skills and experiences theater provides.
