A New Home for Community Care

For more than forty years, Tenino Community Service Center (TCSC) has been a steady source of support for individuals and families across South Thurston and North Lewis Counties. Through our emergency food assistance programs, youth initiatives, and senior nutrition services, TCSC works to ensure that every neighbor, regardless of age, background, or income, has access to the essentials that make a community thrive. We believe that food, care, and connection are the building blocks of a strong and healthy community, and we are proud to provide these resources to those who need them most.

That is why we are thrilled to share that TCSC has been diligently preparing to move into a new warehouse facility that will finally match the scale of our services. This new home will provide expanded cold and dry storage, improved safety and accessibility for volunteers, and the space needed to receive and organize larger food deliveries. It represents the next step in our ability to serve more people across our rural communities, ensuring that everyone has reliable access to fresh and nutrient dense foods.

This move is especially meaningful for the many rural communities we serve across South Thurston and North Lewis Counties, where long distances, limited grocery options, and transportation barriers often make food access difficult. The new facility will allow us to better meet those needs by increasing our storage capacity, improving efficiency, and expanding our ability to deliver food directly to those who cannot reach us in person. Through programs like Senior Shut In, our team and volunteers will be able to prepare, package, and transport more fresh, nutritious food to seniors and homebound residents, helping ensure that no one is left out of our circle of care.
