Getting Started:
Our giving platform, Mightycause, will verify that all participating nonprofits are 501(c)(3) public charities and are in compliance with IRS reporting requirements. Additionally, we require that all organizations are in good standing as registered charities with the WA Secretary of State. During registration, we will guide you through verifying and uploading your WA SOS documentation.
1) To start the registration process, click the register button, login (creating an account if new), and enter your Nonprofit Organization name or EIN Number.
Your EIN is 9 digits long and issued in the following format: XX-XXXXXXX.
This is NOT the same as your sales tax exemption number
If you cannot find your organization, or if another 501(c)(3) organization fiscally sponsors your organization, click “Can’t find your organization? Create It Now” to submit a request for your organization profile to be created. The Mightycause support team will contact you for any additional information needed to create your profile. Once your profile is created, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to register.

2) Once you locate your organization, click “Select”. You will then be taken to some registration questions.

3) Fill out registration questions and click “Continue.”

4) Enter the payment information for the registration fee to submit the form.

5) Your organization will then be placed in a pending status while the Community Foundation reviews your application.

6) Once your registration is approved, you will receive an automatic email with additional information to help you get started on your campaign.
Admin Requests:
By submitting a registration, you are automatically requesting admin access to your organization page. Mightycause Support reviews admin requests separately and will follow up with you if more information is needed for verification. Once your admin request is approved, you will receive an admin approval email from Mightycause. You will then be able to access your organization page and see your page listed in your dropdown user menu.
NOTE: Admin approval emails are separate from registration approval emails. Please allow 2 - 3 business days for admin approval.

Important Notes:
Mightycause imports the IRS master list monthly so that all organizations in their database are 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing.
New organizations are added to the Mightycause database through the IRS import. The organization name on file with the IRS at the time of import will remain the display name until the page is claimed and an admin updates the display name.
