The Bonus Fund boosts every donation made during Give Local—helping all participating nonprofits grow their impact across Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties.
Seeded with a generous $100,000 lead gift from the Dawkins Charitable Fund (a component fund of the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound) the fund grows even larger when community members donate directly to it during the campaign. At the end of Give Local, the entire pool is distributed to all participating nonprofits proportionally, up to $7,500—ensuring that all participants benefit.
The best part? Every participating Give Local nonprofit is automatically eligible—no extra application or signup required! There are also no minimum fundraising goals or thresholds that your team needs to meet to qualify.
The Bonus Fund is not a traditional 1:1 dollar-for-dollar match. Matching amounts are calculated post-event once all campaign donations are reconciled.
