South Sound Studio Tour Foundation

The South Sound Studio Tour is a free, family friendly, self-guided tour of artists’ studios throughout Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey. For one lively weekend each year, a wide range of artists and makers open their studios and invite the public to come see where and how art is made. Visitors can meet and talk with the artists and learn about their techniques, processes and visions. They can see and participate in demonstrations and buy original artworks directly from the artists. In 2026, 46 studios opened to the public, showing the works of 84 diverse artists in drawing, painting, sculpture, glass, wood, fibers, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and more.

The goal of the South Sound Studio Tour is to foster community, inspire creativity, and enhance the vitality of our region by supporting South Sound artists and building relationships between them and the larger public.
