Welcome to Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia (SOGO). Thank you for visiting our page to learn how SOGO is making a difference in the lives of young people in the Sound Sound area.

SOGO is an orchestral program whose mission is to provide a challenging, fully integrated music experience for the young musician that includes orchestra and ensemble performances, music education and a broad spectrum of music-related activities.

SOGO makes a difference in the lives of over 150 students and their families. Your gift to SOGO makes the following possible:

• Keeps tuition affordable
• Provides scholarships through the Future Music Makers financial assistance program
• Three series of concerts at the Washington Center
• The Brass Choir Holiday Show
• The Messiah Sing-Along - free and open to the public
• Instrument Petting Zoo for kids of all ages to try out the string instruments during the Spring Arts Walk
• Conduct Us with the Olympia Symphony during Love Oly Fest
• Summer Music classes for youth 
• Professional staff, including conductors, and teaching artists 
• SOGO 2 Schools out reach to low-income schools for free
• SOGO MOJO (Musicians Out Jammin' Olympia), our chamber ensemble program
