  • Kids’ Place After-school and Summer Program provides academic support, tutoring, and prevention and enrichment activities for up to 50 low-income Kindergarten through 5th graders.
  • Food Bank is open 3 days a week. The Food Bank not only distributes healthy foods but personal care products, cleaning supplies, pet food, baby food and diapers.
  • Family Services program included parenting support and resources, outreach to the Hispanic community including ESL classes, access to an advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
  • Emergency Services program offers utility and rental assistance, funds for small home and car repairs, vouchers for gasoline and propane, assistance for emergency needs in the community such as house fires, floods and other disasters.
  • Community Projects includes Operation Santa (a gift giving program for needy children), Back-to-School Supplies, and a high school scholarship.

The mission of the Rochester Organization of Families (ROOF) is to address community needs by providing resources and services to children, youth and families to achieve a healthy, positive and drug-free community in the Rochester area.
