OFT believes that theater should be for everyone. We produce plays that spark imagination, celebrate diversity, and open the door to lifelong appreciation of the arts. From beloved fairy tales and original adaptations to bold new works, every production is built with care by local artists, educators, and volunteers who believe in the power of live storytelling to shape hearts and minds.

What We Do 

Olympia Family Theater is a cornerstone of Olympia's cultural life! Offering mainstage productions, educational programs, and both youth centered  and adult camps and classes year round. We create spaces where students can grow their confidence, and discover their voices both as artists and as people.

Through our Magic Curtain Mornings program, we introduce preschool audiences to the joy of live theater in short, playful performances designed just for them. Our after school classes and summer camps help students explore acting, improv, musical theater, and stagecraft, guided by experienced teaching artists who nurture teamwork and empathy.

We also believe that theater should be accessible to all families, regardless of income. That’s why we offer sliding scale tuition, scholarships, and low cost ticket programs that keep our doors open to everyone in our community.
