Healing Through the Outdoors: Supporting Disabled Veterans, Veterans, First Responders & Active-Duty Military
Outdoors for Our Heroes (OFOH) is dedicated to providing therapeutic outdoor experiences for disabled veterans, veterans, first responders, and active-duty military. We believe in the power of nature to foster healing, build camaraderie, and enhance overall well-being.
Our programs — including guided hunting and fishing trips, as well as rod-building classes — are designed to create meaningful and supportive experiences that address physical, mental, and emotional needs. Through these shared adventures, participants connect with others who understand their journey, develop new skills, and rediscover purpose in a community that truly cares.
Driven by a passionate volunteer team — many of whom are veterans or first responders themselves — OFOH is committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. By promoting healing and recovery through time spent outdoors, we help improve quality of life and restore a sense of belonging for our nation’s heroes.
This Give Local South Puget Sound campaign aims to raise $10,000 to expand our 2026 programs — helping fund adaptive gear, trip logistics, and outreach to reach even more heroes in need of connection and healing.
Your support makes it possible. Every dollar helps put a hero in the field, surrounded by the peace, purpose, and camaraderie that nature provides.
Donate today and help us reach our $10,000 goal — so more disabled veterans, veterans, first responders, and active-duty military can experience the healing power of the outdoors.
