Immigrant Latinx families are the backbone of our communities, yet they face profound barriers that remain invisible to most. Many parents work long hours with limited language access while their children navigate the tension of two cultures. Add in mixed-status households, fear of deportation, and the constant stress of meeting basic needs, and you have a family under immense pressure.

This is where Mi Chiantla steps in. Mi Chiantla, meaning "my home" in Nahuatl, provides essential programming focused on:

• Connecting families

• Preventing substance misuse

• Supporting legal and identity needs

• Building leadership through culturally rooted strength by our Champion Ambassadors

We support our Latinx communities in Lewis, Thurston, Mason, Pacific, Grays Harbor, and Pierce Counties.

• Whole-Family Connection: Our free, 12-week program gives parents and youth a safe space to bond, learn, and grow together. It combines substance-use prevention with mental health resilience, art, STEM, culture, and shared experiences. It's not a typical "workshop" it’s a family’s journey to deep connection.
• Culturally Grounded, Community-Proven: We reject one-size-fits-all tools. Our curriculum is specifically designed for Latinx, Indigenous, and immigrant communities strengthening identity, belonging, and leadership from the roots up. Participants attend at an average rate of 85%, which is proof the work truly resonates.
• Break Barriers, Build Futures: Youth in mixed-status households often face invisible limits: lack of identity documents, passport access, and legal dread. With your help, we fund youth passports, immigration resource navigation, and legal support so families can move freely, feel secure, and claim their full potential.
