About Us:

Capital City Chorus of Olympia (CCC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts organization dedicated to enriching our community through the power and beauty of choral music. Our mission is to present high-quality choral performances that are free and accessible to everyone, regardless of background or income. Our two ensembles (Mixed Chorus and Chorale) are comprised of auditioned singers from all walks of life who share a love of singing. We make it possible for every singer to participate and provide scholarships for those who may experience financial hardships.

This chorus was a long-standing dream of Daniel Colgan since his youth, and it has grown into a truly wonderful community group that, with your support, can continue sharing free music with everyone who wants to listen for many years to come.

Now entering its 7th performance year, CCC is proud to announce that the Chorale has been asked to sing in the national debut of "It is Happiness," by composer Joan Szymko, based on work by Pulitzer poet Mary Oliver, at Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 26, 2026. This once-in-a-lifetime event can only be made possible by our donors and patrons. About Our Choirs:

Mixed Choir:

Directed by Dan Colgan, and assisted by Vicki Jardine-Tobin, the Mixed Choir is an ensemble of just over 100 voices consisting of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass voices. The choir often sings in eight parts (SSAATTBB), sometimes accompanied by piano/organ and at times a cappella.

Chorale:

Directed by Vicki Jardine-Tobin with collaborative pianist April Kuhr the Chorale is a 60-voice SSAA choir which highlights the high voice. The main goal of the Chorale is to sing high-level SSAA music with opportunities to promote new female composers and sing established standard literature.
