Together, We Make More Possible.

When you give to the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound, you join a community of people who believe in the power of generosity to strengthen our shared future. Together, we make more good possible—through connection, leadership, and investment across Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties.

Philanthropy, at its heart, means love of humanity. It's how we care for the next generation, just as those before us cared for us. Through the Community Foundation, that love takes shape locally—helping ensure everyone in our region has the opportunity to belong, to thrive, and to build a future worth passing on.

When you give to the Community Foundation, you don't just fund one organization—you help fuel a movement of generosity. Your gift supports the collective good by making activities like Give Local, Community Conversations, and community-driven grants and scholarships possible every year.

Because of people like you, Give Local has helped our communities raise more than $5 million in support of local nonprofits since its launch. Now in its ninth year, the campaign brings together more than 150 organizations and thousands of neighbors in a shared celebration of generosity.

And Give Local is only one way we make more possible. Each year, the Foundation mobilizes community resources through funds, scholarships, and grants—investing in people, places, and ideas that create lasting change. This year, for example:

  • We hosted our second annual Community Conversation with author and Citizen University CEO Eric Liu, bringing 175 community members together to explore what it means to restore hope, revive democracy, and foster belonging in the South Sound.
  • We launched Project Connect, a new grant program that funded 19 community-led projects strengthening the civic fabric of our region.
  • We convened an innovative Youth & Mental Health Learning Cohort, bringing together 13 youth-serving nonprofits to deepen collaboration and collective understanding.
  • We supported 110 nonprofits across the region through Community Grants (announcement coming soon) and hosted nonprofit trainings that help local organizations build capacity, strengthen leadership, and continue the work that makes more possible for our communities.

Since our founding in 1989, the Community Foundation has awarded $29 million (and counting) in grants and scholarships—funding everything from performing arts to affordable housing, from disaster relief to nutritious food, from land conservation to student dreams, senior services, and overall good for our South Sound communities.

When you give to the Community Foundation, you invest in the systems and community stories that make these impacts possible. You help shape a future where generosity isn't just a moment—it's an everyday action and expression of love for our people and place.

Together, we make more possible.
Join us by making a meaningful gift to the Community Foundation today and directly supporting our charitable mission and ongoing work.
