WHO WE ARE

The Bridge Music Project is a Thurston County based non-profit that teaches youth who music writing, performance, mentorship, and community can be tools to deal with life’s challenges.

Our work is done through Songwriting Workshops where youth work as teams to write, record, and perform original music that shares their stories. Workshops are held at youth correctional facilities, schools, group homes, and music venues.

KEEP OUR WORKSHOPS FREE FOR ALL YOUTH

The Bridge provides our programming 100% FREE OF CHARGE to ALL YOUTH who want to participate. The Bridge serves around 250 youth annually. This is only possible because of YOUR SUPPORT!

WHAT YOUTH ARE SAYING

“Being incarcerated doesn’t usually give me the opportunity to pursue music on a high level. I was thankful for this opportunity. Here I could express.” Ron, age 20, Incarcerated Youth Songwriting Workshop

“The energy that The Bridge team put into my daughter helped her to develop into the leader I’ve seen for years.” Latosha, Parent

“I was an introverted person hoping to find other musicians like me before I joined The Bridge. Since then, I’ve been more social and have made a ton of music friends.” Hayden, age 18, Community Song Writing Workshop

“At The Bridge I get to make new friends and make music with them. I now have 3 best friends I care a lot about thanks to The Bridge.” Morgaine, 16, Community Songwriting Workshop

“I loved the diverse styles and the positive energy. I left every session in a way better mood than how I walked in.”  Jeshua, age 17, Community Songwriting Workshop
